By using the ReWearth platform, you agree to the following Terms of Use. These terms are here to protect our community and to help us build a culture of trust and respect.
1. Your Data
The personal information collected during signup is used so we can contact you in relation to the ReWearth service and community. In the event of a swap, we may share limited information with the other party in order to assist the exchange.
2. Swapper Responsibilities
- You agree that items uploaded are accurately described and legally yours to offer.
- You must note any flaws, wear, or damage honestly in your listing.
- Once swapped, you agree that the item is transferred permanently and you must mark the item Swapped.
3. No-Money Swap Policy
- ReWearth is a cash-free swapping platform. All exchanges are item-for-item only, and no item is of more value than another.
- Asking for, offering, or accepting money (including EFT, cash, e-wallets, vouchers, delivery fees, deposits, or tips) in connection with a swap is strictly prohibited.
- Attempting to arrange off-platform sales for items listed on ReWearth is also prohibited.
- We encourage ReWearthers to report any users that are asking for money (report via the users profile or item page). Report or email us at swap@rewearth.org.
4. Platform Usage and Safety
To maintain a secure and efficient community, ReWearth periodically reviews user activity.
If an account remains inactive for sixty (60) consecutive days, meaning the user has not logged in, uploaded, or participated in any swaps, ReWearth reserves the right to archive or permanently delete the account and its associated data.
Archived accounts may be reinstated at ReWearth’s discretion if the user requests reactivation. Deleted accounts, however, cannot be recovered, and any listings, points, badges, or other associated data will be permanently removed.
ReWearth is under no obligation to provide prior notice before archiving or deleting inactive accounts, although it may, at its discretion, send reminder or warning emails before such action is taken.
5. Platform Usage and Safety
- Content you upload (images, descriptions, profile info) is visible on the internet. Please only upload content you’re comfortable sharing.
- If you feel unsafe, harassed, or pressured to make a payment, report this immediately.
- ReWearth is not a party to the contract between Swapper and Swiper and is not responsible for loss or damage to items.
6. Content Promotion and Social Media Visibility
By listing items on ReWearth, you grant ReWearth permission to feature your publicly available listings, images, or descriptions across our social media channels, newsletters, and marketing materials. This allows us to promote sustainable swapping and highlight community contributions. We will never share your personal contact details or private information, only the content you’ve chosen to make public (such as item photos, descriptions, and usernames).
7. Community Code of Conduct
- Treat all community members with respect. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Accounts may be suspended or permanently removed if accusations of bullying or harassment are substantiated. Serious cases may be reported to authorities.
8. Reporting and Enforcement
- If you encounter payment requests, harassment, misrepresentation, or other violations, report it to ReWearth (swap@rewearth.org) with screenshots and the listing link.
- ReWearth may investigate reports, request additional information, and take action such as warnings, suspensions, permanent removal, or credit adjustments.
9. Tracking and Optimization
By signing up to ReWearth, you agree that we may use third-party tools (such as analytics) to understand platform usage and improve your experience.
10. Termination of Access
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the platform.
